She gave him a little bump, then dashed on ahead - saying something downright witty which made him laugh, up until she tumbled and fell in to a pile of flailing limbs. He rushed up behind her, looming for a moment as he inspected for damage, and then he pulled back. "I meant to do that," she claimed,  "Dash can't be outdashed, 'twouldn't be right."

"No, 'twouldn't, aye!" Riordan struggled a bit with the word she had made up, and then fell in to a deep giggle, which he quickly curtailed. He assumed a very serious expression next, and waited for her to right herself. Just before she got to her paws again, he bumped his nose against her cheek and flounced away, dashing beyond her position with a thundering beat. "Tag! You're it, lass!" They could go adventuring, or they could play a stupid game like children - or, maybe, both! He was quite a ways ahead of her when he called out, "Well come on then! If'n you cannae catch me, how can we possibly be a good adventuring duo!"
