Akela remained perfectly still and roamed the area with his ears, nose and eyes. He could feel that soemone was near. It was that tingling sensation in the back of your head to be watched.  He did not really like it, because those remaining in the shadows were usually predators, and were usually waiting for the right moment to snap.  He was not planning on being anyone's food today.  However, Akela did not leave the area, nor did move.  He thought he saw something move by a large tree, but maybe it was just his imagination , the dance of light and shadow.

To make sure however, and to calm himself down, he tried to bluff.  "You know,  I see your tail " he spoke out, loud enough for anything and anyone to hear.
