"No -- help yourself to one of the caches if you're hungry," he rumbled, taking a few paces away from her now and to the direction of the borders. He would need to continue to mark them.

"There will be a pack gathering soon," he told her then, so she could prepare for it and be sure she attended. Soon, Jade Fern Grove would be claimed officially -- and the pack would gather and howl their intentions to the world. He remained apprehensive, now being in Rising Sun Valley once more, but thus far, their past had not come back to haunt them just yet.

With that, the dark agouti wolf swept off to continue to mark the borders, his thoughts distant.
