He did not recognize her at first -- not until he had closed the distance between them. She was a respectful distance from their borders, and as Scimitar regarded Tuwawi with mild trepidation, it seemed as if fate was having a joke -- thrusting yet one more wolf to knock at his door that he did not trust. "What brings you to the borders of Jade Fern Grove?" There was no greeting or display of contentment. The male was rigid as he approached, purely intent on getting straight to the point. Tuwawi had stormed from Swiftcurrent Creek, insulting his mate the last time she had been amongst them. He had assumed she had gone from the Wilds altogether.
