Tuwawi lapsed into silence as she studied the pair, a somber mood washing over her. Duskfire's timeline felt fragmented to the ember, who had been abducted by humans before the Siren's raid and the swift fragmentation of her pack and family. How long had it been since she had laid eyes on the agouti man? A year? More? Even the recent storm felt distant. The fire... yes, the woods had been set ablaze in the North and tore up the earth. She had seen the smoke from afar. After all, the position of being a rogue meant having the advantage to move freely. Her dotted brows furrowed as she thought of Bazi... unaware that Scimitar and his mate had four children to watch over in these harrowing times.
An ear orbited. Tuwawi pined for more details however her salty attitude made it difficult to engage the alpha in conversation. She cared for Bazi, despite the poor reflections of her own past actions, and if Bazi was paired to Scimitar then, well... the dethroned would have to swallow her dogged animosity. Few connections were left for the mother to cherish and she was reluctant to let one of the last be cast away for good.
Her sooty tail swished as she pressed for embellishment. "Did you... did everyone make it out?" she asked. Tuwawi's obstinate personality rendered her tone obviously onerous as she spoke, voice low and staggered. "Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise," she added, waiting a beat before continuing. "You were too close to the sea. A pack by the coast attacked Duskfire. Sirens they called themselves. Led by a she-wolf named Caiaphas. An ugly bitch - white all over with a black mug." Disdain for the witch practically dripped from Tuwawi's tongue. "Needless to say, my pack is no more."
The ember frowned and suddenly changed inquiries. "Is Bazi here?" she asked as her silver eyes glanced up at Scimitar's statuesque figure, tongue rolling between the notch in her lip anxiously.
