Scimitar’s brows lifted as she explained what had happened to Duskfire—they had not been touched by the packs of the shores nor met them. He would have questioned if the fiery female before him had done something to incur their wrath, but kept his mouth in a tight line for now. His eyes instead would drift to the collar about her neck, curious about the contraption, but making no comment on it just yet.
Tuwawi asked about Bazi, and he withheld a snort of disdain – not for his mate, this time, but because now the she-wolf decided she cared for the white Frostfur. “Yes – and she hates it. But she tolerates it for our children,” he offered, his eyes flashing over her as he silently wondered if she had even heard the two were not only mates, but parents. He held little knowledge of what had happened to the Sveijarn brood – nor did he dare ask. Tuwawi had seen better days, and whatever hardened woman he had known before had returned to Teekon Wilds tenfold more so.
There was a small pause -- no doubt Tuwawi desired to see Bazi, and she her. Yet his eyes captured the collar once more, and he gave a nod towards it, not attempting to hide what held his interest. "I would call for her if I knew what that was around your neck." He had never encountered one before -- his life had been human-free, but he wasn't going to let his family near it until he knew more.
