His outburst made her reel back a little, almost biting her tongue in the process. It hadn't been done on purpose - and now, seeing his reaction, she felt herself grow defensive; the pain still lanced through her tongue and her mouth, making Saskia come off as more abrasive than she would usually be.

"What? I didn't do anything," to make her point, she licked at her lips again and gathered some of the blood that trailed from the pierced edge of her lip, spitting it in to the sand nearby. She was too agitated by the pain to feel embarrassed, but as she turned from him and began inspecting the crab's carcass, she felt a heat spread across her face and the urge to tuck her tail grew strong. Saskia resisted, if only so that the situation could ease in to something less dramatic.

It was nothing, just an accident.

"I hope the crab was worth the show," she glumly added, kicking at the crab with one paw, as if to toss it his way.
