Her eyes darted between the two as a decision was made. Citali settled herself alongside the rabbit corpses while Nochtli began to move away. Saena fell into step with the darker of the pair, flaring her nostrils and seeking the scent of more unsuspecting rabbits. She held her tail out horizontally as she picked her way across the plain with Nochtli. When the scent of rabbit reached her nose again, the young alpha slowed and licked her chops.

Nochtli must've smelled them too, for she was peeling off to the left. Saena swung right and headed into the deep grass to await the signal, after which she would dive into the fray again and hopefully snap up another rabbit or two.
