Lion Head Mesa snapped like twigs

Maybe. That seemed to be their word.  "Maybe"  Akela repeated and looked at the young wolf. He was different than others. He could not quite put his paw on what it was, but it had an intriguing aura. He looked back at the scenery. The woods , dark and opaque, the other parts , the finer details. Time seemed to have come to a stop when he stood there contemplating.  He had seen mountain tops , a lot of them, yet he would keep this memory as being singular, because of Cicero. 

As the sun set in the west, indicating as it disappeared behind clouds that night was creeping on them, Akela turned to Cicero.  "Time to slide down, I'd rather not be on here when night falls" he spoke and started to slide down, just like he said he would.
