What she was upset with was simply that he had chosen to decide what was best for her, and not give her a say. He had not right ot do that. Not only was she older, she was also a higher rank. Just because she was grief stricken and anxious, didn't mean a damn thing. She was still the alpha and he had decided for her, that not only would she step down from her position, but that she would go without a fuss. How incredibly juvenile and downright rude. She didn't know if she could forgive him for this.

She was glad that Atreyu was putting him in his place. For a moment regretting making him beta, perhaps Atreyu would have been the better choice. But she hadn't wished to burden him, and Charon wanted the position so badly. Perhaps that was a bad decision on her part. She sighed and shook her head, stomping towards the healers den. Even if they weren't ready to leave, she found she didn't want company at the moment.
