It didn't matter to him that she knew not how to be a mate, he was just overjoyed that she wanted to try. In the grand scheme of things, FitzDutiful didn't really know how to be a mate either. He had failed at it once when it was named, and twice if you count the unnamed time. He didn't really want to think about either of those things but he wanted to reassure Zaria. She was his everything at the moment.

He had paused and stumbled at a bit at the test aspect of it, but when he thought it through he figured it was just that. A test that the two of them would work together, that they could work together. A test that allowed them a get-out clause in case things were tough, before things got messy with the children that he wanted. If she wanted.
