"i know you not, and you know nothing of me," the druid said softly, meeting the moon-gilded eyes of his companion, "but i am not so obtuse that i cannot see when a creature is in need of a listening ear."

he fell quiet then, the implication that he was said ear hanging between himself and the pensive creature. if it was not accepted, he would bid the other adieu, and leave him to gather his thoughts in relative peace.
