Mudminnow River Drifting Away

Haven watched the lone wolf carefully as she spoke. She was startled at how trusting and friendly this Celeste seemed. Haven was a friendly wolf, but not when just meeting someone. It always took her a few minutes to understand where she stood. Celeste seemed too calm, and that made Haven suspicious. I'm Haven. She replied abruptly, puzzled at the naturally kind personality of the black wolf.

Haven, though still suspicious, nodded and replied, Yeah, its pretty. Mornings are my favorite time of the day. Well mornings and night time that is. She paused awkwardly, trying to read Celeste, analyze her. She decided that Celeste wasn't a threat, but she also didn't know whether she could really be trusted yet. Haven being curious, wanted to know more about her new acquaintance before she jumped to conclusions. She walked closer, but didn't sit down yet, all the while keeping a golden eye on the black wolf. Where do you come from? The grey wolf asked, the rudeness had died down a bit, and now she was more curious than anything else.
