Moonspear come out of the darkness

He knew there was an Alpha male over the new home in addition to Amekaze also leading.  To him, Amekaze was his leader; he’d chosen to follow her, but this wolf, Charon he introduces, is unknown to him.  His sparse knowledge of the other pack left him wanting more and this wolf would be the one to fill in blanks he has.  Charon was young, but so had he when he’d taken a piece of land of his own, but something he would prefer to bury away.  It no longer held any relevance to his life. 

“I am,” he confesses with a slight nod of his head, “Lex.”

Lex’s own smile appears on his face as he begins to hide away his own insecurity.  He wouldn’t have stepped up behind Amekaze if he didn’t trust her decisions.  Most wolves probably wouldn’t step up into the mess about to unfold with the merging of two packs—something he wasn’t given several months ago—and he wanted to know that things could work after all.

“I admit I’ve not been here too long. Don’t know what that says about me stepping into the middle of a merger,” he says with a little chuff of a laugh.  “I like the place though.  It’s nice.  I don’t quite have my mountain legs, though. You?”
