Within mere hours of being set at the side of a new female, Saēna had forgotten the event had even happened. The chill of the environment on her damp coat, the acrid tang of blood in her stuffy nose, the frigidity of the outside breeze cutting to her core, the bumpy yet disorienting walk to this place... None of it had happened. She was quintessentially a wolf of the present, for she was only capable of acknowledging spaces of time approximately one minute previous.

In this particular one minute interval, something had disturbed her. Saēna was much smaller than the two pups she had been introduced to (and subsequently forgot, re-encountered, and forgot again), partly due to her parentage and partly due to being premature. Pura was larger than she, but smaller than the new blobs. The new blobs were also meaner, jostling her aside with their vigorous movements, whilst she was sluggish and slow in hers. It was easy for the new blobs to take advantage of her... As one did now.

Saēna felt the pressure of another upon her as discomfort, and wailed her disapproval loud and clear. Osprey Jr.'s sucking on her ear only further agitated the squashed premature babe, who wriggled under the bulk of Hawkeye's true-born daughter, completely helpless thanks to her minuscule size and non-existent power. She scarcely even noticed being punched in the face, so upset was she already.
