The walls that had built between them seem to crumble and in that instance, FitzDutiful felt as though the devil had nearly tried to control him and force his son away. Who, or what, had taken over his thoughts and said it would choose a female over blood without hesitation? He struggled to believe that the dark, twisted side of him existed.
