Burke looked up as he saw a young male approaching. His pale eyes instantly drilled into the other, wondering why this yearling was even so bold to approach him so close to his lands. He wasn't actually trespassing but Burke was always a bit itchy with loners too close for comfort. The male would soon find out what kind of pack they were. The darkness and the blood of trespassers on some parts of the borders. Burke's docked tail was raised as for his head. The male was signaling to the male that there shouldn't cross a certain line. It wasn't because he was bigger, he was just letting his status known.

The large male kept where he had been sitting previously, though now he was back on all fours. The alpha, and now single father, was wary of this male. This wariness often turned into aggression on Burke's side. But maybe Burke could just channel his inner calmness and just ignore the male. Yet, that might send the wrong message. He was close to his home, his home where his children were. Burke lowered his head a bit, just to protect his neck and get more into an attackers position. Her bared his teeth towards the younger make. The bulky alpha set a step forward. He wasn't the one that was in for a fancy chit chat with a male that behaved like this. For a loner he was too confident for his liking. It reminded him a bit of some wolf he heard about, but his age didn't match with him. A growl came from the male's throat as a warning. Burke's body getting in a defensive mode. "I do not really care if you are hungry. You are not in my pack, which you are quite close to," he pointed out.
