As Kendra gnawed on his leg, Damien focused on the girl's spine, tickling with his teeth instead of actually biting. He knew he had to be cautious not to rush his sister, and the play was getting too rough. But when Kendra let go of his paw and started licking Damien's chin, he thought it was best if they cut their play time before he did something he would regret... aka ripping his sister's head off accidentally. They were just so vulnerable.

Damien allowed the girl to lick his chin, and in return he gave her some kisses of his own before dropping to the ground and resting his head on the floor. He was done with fooling around, and he was in fact tired from his day. He wanted to stay close to the den until Burke returned and then go find a place to spend the night, which gave him time to cuddle with his tiny new sister. That was something he was willing to do only with those he loved the most, and Kendra already reminded him of their mother.
