It is then he picked up on movement, the appearance of a silver female. Had the fox been the one to move rather than crouching as a statute, he may have spotted her instead, but as it were he turned his back toward the undetected fox as he shifted to face the other wolf.

His brushy tail waved slowly, his shoulders and spine relaxed, strong muscles uncoiled with confidence and comfort. He noted her wide eyes, and his head canted slightly, his ear giving a curious twitch. "You seem surprised," he commented.
