Lost Creek Hollow there is black coal filling up our homes

The encouragement from Mordecai makes her chest puff out, even if he isn’t directly giving it to her or praising her for something she hasn’t yet done, but the prospect it would be good for the pack.  Accomplishing it, driving the herd toward the hollow, and the rest of them taking it down would do well for them.  Even if she might not get the killing blow, they would get the chance because of her actions.  She smiles, feeling drool build up in the back of her mouth, and she yearns for something now.

“It’ll be good,” she tells him, glancing past him as she begins to think about her travel patterns and where she’ll start.  She has a good idea where they were when she left them and if things pan out, she can do this.  “I’ll let you guys know when I leave,” she adds as she begins to stand, flexing her muscles from sitting in the cold for too long.  “It is nice to meet you, Mordecai,” she finally says with a brightening smile, waiting for dismissal before she leaves.
