Sequoia Coast Lost And Alone Am I

After having briefly met another wolf and simply parting ways, Isabeau  was still frustrated with her new adventure. She didn't know why, but she had thought that being on her own and not under the stress of disappointing her pack would have improved her hunting. And yet, having failed to catch food thus far proved her wrong. Worse yet, that strange lone wolf had watched her as she followed her nose right off of a rock ledge. There wasn't any way of recovering from that embarrassment.

Isabeau snorted and shook her head. At least she wouldn't have to see that wolf again and no one would know about her falling off of the arc of rock. She had trotted around the lower side of the arc and come upon a wood. She wasn't sure if she should continue around the arc or veer off into the forest. She hadn't met another creature as of yet since she met the white wolf who watched her miserable attempt to hunt. Isabeau thrust her nose into the air. She smelled faint wolf scents, a pack it seemed. She wasn't sure if she should trespass.

Isabeau plopped down into a sitting position to ponder her next move. To follow the arc to its end? To head into this forest that help pack scents? Or to turn around back down the thin tract of land from which she came?
