The silent woman nodded at the alpha's question, affirming her desires to join this pack. She could already see the cogs in this massive wolf's head turning. Perhaps he was thinking the same thing she was thinking - that she could be a useful spy in the ranks of this pack. No secret would escape her lips, only to be etched on the ground in front of her spymaster: this wolf.

She lay there for a moment, then grabbed a nearby stick. The snow had melted slightly, wetting the ground that they stood on, turning it into mud. In this perfect canvas Quiet drew three circles with two triangles on either side - one for each wolf that she had seen glimpses of as they patrolled their dark enclave. In two of them, she placed her paw and pressed down hard - for the red mark that adorned their shoulders. In one, she drew a smaller circle with eight lines sprouting from it - it had been harder to see in that wolf's black pelt, but there it was, a spider carved into his skin. With that, she stepped back, dropping the stick and returning to her submissive position. This wolf, despite his hulking frame, she knew to be smart. He could figure it out, couldn't he?
