This thread is meant for my character to get acquainted with another wolf, whether she has met them just once or never before. This takes place not far from Lecter's den.

Tyrande breathed in heavily, picking up the scent of a hare. She hadn't been in the pack for long. In fact, the only ones she's really met were Fox and Lecter, though she recalled a white she-wolf that she saw when she was caught trespassing the border...

So, she hasn't really put on any weight of a pack wolf yet, still a little malnourished, like that of her ancestry, like a lone wolf.

She focused on the trail of the small creature. Most wolves go for bigger prey, but the fact that she was not only small and wasn't built for brute strength added to that she's never hunted in pacts left her to hunt small animals.

There it was, the furry, cute thing in front of her dipped its parched mouth in the wider area of the river. Quickly yet silently, Tyrande stepped behind it. The hare didn't notice the danger until it was too late, and the wolf was already a couple yards behind her. It was stuck between a wolf's mouth and the raging current.

Tyrande finished it off quickly, with a slash to the life giving artery. With a small woof of triumph, she settled down to eat her meal.
