It wasn't blood, and if she did it with a plant or something other than fighting, his sister would babble on about it, so he kept his mouth shut. "Have you ever taken down an elk like my daddy has?" he asked politely, until he quickly changed. "I've taken down an elk." he lied, giving his sister a wink. He went back to standing proudly as he tromped the ground. He didn't mind going back to Redgrove, unlike his sister. He already had the experience with his sister and Nem. They saw a strange black skeleton with parts of black hide on them, and he would go see it again if possible. He couldn't quite grasp what it was, and he knew nothing about the fact that he was looking at his passed mother. He and Kendra would have to ask about it soon.
