At the sound of her brother's name, Quiet froze. Her eyes filled with sadness for a brief moment. Hush. She didn't miss the pack, the valley in which they lived, or even her mother. Hush was the only thing she pined for in her life. He was the only one who could understand her, and she, one of the only ones who could understand him. It was through each other that they learned to communicate without words, only body language. They could tell each other so much without saying anything - they couldn't after all.

Quiet nodded once and again raised her paw and shook it. She wondered if the dark wolf would have noticed that pang of loss in her eyes - she wondered if she would even care.
