It had been much too long since Floki had ventured beyond the borders of Moonspear, and yet he was reluctant to do so. He felt that he had much to prove to his packmates as a Beta, so he decided that he was going to acquaint himself with every nook and cranny on the mountain's slopes. This would be quite a feat, but he tackled his self-assigned task heartily, leaving behind the familiar trails he had traversed previously and instead striking out to find new paths.

He was creeping along a rather narrow ledge when a blur of black suddenly flew down the mountainside in his peripheral vision. He drew up short, eyes widening with alarm, and peered over the edge. The figure gradually slowed to a halt and then stood; Floki quickly identified Dash and wondered if the fall had been purposeful or accidental.

"Dash! Hey!" he called, his voice reverberating off the rocks. "Are you okay?"
