Brown had finally gotten a meal. A good one, too. He carried the large carcass near the pack, unaware of it, and began feasting on his food. He was late for hibernation, so he had to keep warm by eating a lot. He tore apart the dead creature and began consuming it. His maw was now matted with blood, but he didn't care. Making a lot of noise in the process, Brown kept eating. The winter was harsh, but Brown had no fear that he wouldn't make it. The snow around him was now red, as the bear continued devouring his meal.
