Her eyes glanced downward, indicating to the dark mark that rested on her shoulder. Anyone initiated into the Brotherhood bore the red paw print, though currently only three of them in total counted. The rest of the pack were novices, awaiting a mark of their own. She had been awarded it, instead of completing her training, something that made her feel highly guilty. She was yet to seek out Burke for the continuation of her training but the timing never seemed right. There was so much to do an so minimal time for much else. Perhaps she would seek out other help, after all, Burke had mentioned sparring as a good form of training. Yet, she could not match anyone to be at good level or start. Challenging, yet not dangerous. Kove seemed to fit the criteria, though she had not felt his presence in too long. It worried her. He had not left, that much she knew, but where had he gone. Was he ignoring her? The idea seemed unlikely to match his promise of seeking her out more. What even were they? Not a couple but not nothing. It pained her mind to think too much of it, so she pushed it away for now. She would have to go looking for answers, something she hoped never to do.
"All formal Brotherhood members can be recognised by the red paw print on their shoulders, the Dark Mark. Everyone else are novices, apprentices as they work towards their goals," She explained. She knew she could not share much, the two week rule stopped her from doing so. The Brotherhood had it's secrecy, something that was greatly valued. After the few weeks, they would explain much of what was to be known to the new initiates. It was their own security system, a way of keeping their secrets to only those who stuck around long enough to be worthy of them. It was quite different from the way Blackfeather used to run, they did not harbour anyone but the black in heart and the potentialists for their Brotherhood. It had made it harder to join, yet made them stronger.
the only way to keep your people loyal is
to make certain they fear you more than they do the enemy
to make certain they fear you more than they do the enemy
