Cerulean Cape Statues and stones

The sound of the grey waves smashing against the sea were new to her. It was calming, somehow. Though Sofi knew she needed to keep an eye out on what was happening around her, the coast took her breath away. Each rolling wave felt like the breath of the earth itself. It breathed with her, struggling each time to ensure it would live another day.

The wolf, red as if painted with old blood, moved toward her. It was no feigned aggression the she-wolf bore but a true anger. Immediately, Sofi began to yip loudly in fear and submission. She had no friends who could help her. No one could possibly care about a lone coyote, struggling desperately to live in a world smothered by what was fast becoming her worst enemy: wolves.

Sofi barked at the wolf and galloped as best she could away. She showed her full set of teeth in a wide "grin", a submissive posture complete with tail tucked. 

Sofi was positive if the wolf took chase, she would die.
