Dawnlark Plains Don't Accept the Truth

Rolling to his side and toward the coyote in an ungraceful manner, Reek allowed his tongue to loll lazily out the side of his mouth, panting as the effects of play took their toll. His happy expression, however, tapered away with a rare sense of empathy. Brow deeply furrowing with disappointment, Reek frowned. The world could be a cruel place, this Reek knew, and sometimes, he even added to it's cruelty. But this coyote, she had been a reprieve from a crap-sack world and the moment they shared had been genuinely nice.

"Im sorry it's been this way," he said, wishing there was a way he could change the poor 'yote's situation, but life for a coyote among wolves was destined to a difficult one. No matter what, she was doomed to live the life of an outsider looking in on all the things she could have, but never will. It was heartbreaking to even think about.

"Whatever you're looking for here," continued Reek, "I hope you find it. Hold it tightly and never let go Sofi."
