Emberwood O the wild charge they made

Laika nodded with agreement, and knew she would be one of the many to volunteer to patrol the Emberwood. As Saena signaled the the bunch to follow her, Laika pivoted on her paws and began the journey back home. 

As they walked, she began to wonder if they would ever come back. They were moving south, but what if they couldn't even settle there? She doubted they would ever come back, even if they could not stay in the south. 

The adrenaline began draining from her veins, and her once tense muscles were relaxing ever so slightly as they neared Phoenix Maplewood territory. Today was a successful day, for they had gotten rid of the pack that threatened to narrow their food pickings. Hopefully it wasn't the last time they would be successful, but hopefully it was the last time something like his would have to be done. But for now, Laika was satisfied at how she served her pack today and that was all she needed.
