Ravensblood Forest of the third kind

Pleased by her presence, Tiarnan was content to lay in the dirt for a while longer. This was not going to happen. Bazi rose and stretched in the next few moments, leaving an absence which forced him to stay alert; when she shifted in to a great stretch, the boy's eyes inconspicuously travelled across her rump - but he had his gaze averted by the time the ghost was paying attention. Something seemed to be amiss. That, or his new-found friend did not trust the forest as Tiarnan did. She turned to face him and after prompting him with a word - "Come," - the nimble girl reached for his bottom and tried to make him stand. He grunted and did as he was told, casting a nervous look towards the mountains that he had previously fled from.

A momentary suspicion surfaced within him as he spied the distant silhouette of the mountain. Tiarnan had no desire to return to the plateau pack, which he now assumed was the home to the pale girl. This knowledge, however false, made the fur of his shoulders spike and his posture to sag somewhat; overwhelmed by a light feeling of betrayal which festered in his heart. The boy looked at Bazi and shook his head, stepping back and sitting in the dirt again, as if to proclaim his immobility. There was no way he'd go back to the mountains. There were too many hostile bodies there, and they outnumbered the pleasant ghost.
