Goober was a little bit shocked by the dude's reaction. So when the other lashed out, Goober hadn't pulled away quick enough. A bright red line of blood now adorned his muzzle, and he yelped in surprise. He hadn't thought that he had provoked the stranger, but apparently this guy was off his rocker. Or Goober had misunderstood. Not wanting to stick around any longer to find out, he quickly bolted past his attacker and away from the scene, hoping that the accented weirdo wouldn't care enough to chase him down.
