Her heart raced – her form shook, although she hoped it was a subtle quake. Her eyes were fast upon the males now, though she felt the nervous flutter of the girl beside her. She did not know what to do – she did not know if she should reprimand the girl, as if she could force the heat to stop – or reprimand Taggarik, who she had intended to have claim her and not one of their subordinates.
 
Taggarik had seemingly placed the Beta in the hierarchy, but the tawny male would doggedly take another attempt to the girl.
 
But Capri was not concerned of him at the moment – instead, her frosted eyes remained steadfast on Taggarik, the ebony male who had claimed he would allow no other to take her place.. and how true he would be to that word when his instincts were placed at the most complicated of tests.
