Cicero felt guilty and stupid for snapping at the other wolf, but his fear didacted that he defend himself. It worked, it seemed, for finally the chocolate wolf said that he'd back off. Cicero did not lunge again after that statement, his hackles raised and body posture defensively dominant, since he said he would leave.

Cicero waited for him to leave, then, saying nothing; he had nothing to say. He felt bad, but he felt that showing any sign of weakness would only prompt his assailant to take what he wanted. And so he said nothing, afraid to trigger the chocolate male.
