Reek had nothing left. With his mateship in shambles and life thrown in the blender, Tavi was his only respite. Perhaps he was only deepening his problems by running to her, but his storm-grey mistress made Reek happy. Mistress was possibly to wrong word now to use now— after Saena's discovery and the subsequent break of their relationship, Reek and Tavi's interludes were technically no longer cheating. She may not have known that yet, but it would be covered in due time.

For now, Reed desired comfort. Her reply came on the breath of whisper as she preened through his fur. Reek's ears splayed back and he exhaled a long sigh of satisfaction. If Tavi was waiting for conversation, she would not recieve it until later. Instead, Reek began to reciprocate her ministrations. He allowed his muzzle to trail from the scruff of her neck, down her side, and down to her haunches; teeth lightly scraping against every inch.  

There, at her rump, he lingered. Placing a single foreleg on her backside, Reek waited for his go-ahead.
