While not necessarily in the proper mindset for company, Reek wouldn't turn his subordinate away for the sake of solitude. He could process the revelation of Tavi's pregnancy on his own time— maybe it would even help to have someone to vent to. Reek may not have known Jhala all too well in comparison to Luna or Tavi, but he felt she could readily fill the shoes of a listener. At least, Reek hoped so.
