Lucani spoke honestly in response to Gyda's forward question, and the viking queen, as curious as she was, gave a subtle nod of her head. Though she should have seen it coming the return of the question nevertheless came as a surprise to Gyda as it left Lucani's lips. Gyda already knew the answer to that. It was a clear answer and not one that required any sort of thought to it, but still Gyda was hesitant to answer. Perhaps even scared to admit it out loud to herself ...and to anyone else. There was very little that frightened the shield-maiden but rejection as shallow as it was, was definitely one of those things. “Yes,” She responded feeling like her tongue was suddenly made out of sand paper.
