so i don't know if you'd ever read a text from someone, replied in your head, and then hours later realize you never actually replied. well. i did that with this thread >>;

Rowan was at peace to just continue on her path, scenting out the grounds in the hopes of finding something more nourishing to eat among the dead locusts. The female hadn't seemed to keen to approach her and Rowan wasn't in the mood to just push herself right into a conversation - not when she needed more than that. Her purpose, right then, was to find out what was happening and how soon they could expect it to change. 

She was pleased to go right on her merry way but then she was called out to, presumably by the female. Rowan stopped and turned her head to face the female, ears sliding forward to listen more closely to her. "They're a friendly lot, at least, friendly enough." Rowan suggested, assuming the wolf might ask about Donnelaith.
