Shadewood Adventurous

Laika padded through the forest, imagining herself pushing through thickets of bushes and other undergrowth. She smiled in awe as she came upon a large pool. It sat in the middle of a clearing where the branches of the trees thinned, letting in an abundance of light. It reminded her of the pond Casmir and her came across and she smiled even wider at the thought. It had a slightly muddy and Rocky base, but the water was crystal clear. What was it with the water in this place? It was like everything here was pure and natural. She padded up to the bank and squealed with delight. The pond was literally overflowing with fat, glistening fish. The fish survived from all the bugs that had gathered here, trying to consume as much of the algae as possible. At the far end of the pool was a trickling stream that fed the pond that had carved it's way through the ground and over rock ledges. It was purely amazing.

She glanced around once again, her eyes trailing the path of the stream. "Should we follow the stream? Then we can come back and hunt later." She said, her voice obviously overcome with excitement. "Or we could try to catch these fish now." She added. She turned and padded up the stream a little ways, noting that it led deeper and deeper into the seemingly vast forest.
