the druid found himself tempted by the sea, as he had been ever since relocating to donnelaith. he took the heat of the afternoon to depart his companions for a time and draw whatever strength he might from the ocean, albeit in a newer land than before. the man also hoped to find a morsel or two in the salt-hued shallows -- this hope spurred him on, until he came to a curious little spread of pools that flowed into the sea.

here were odd crustaceans, lasher knew from his time upon the strands, and also at the grotto, learning from caiaphas. he would have have plunged down his muzzle into the waters and attempted to split one of the clams within his jaws had not the presence of another caught his eye.

hackles spiced with ruddy hues, the wolf was slimly built and did not bespeak a true heritage. lasher was intrigued, and trained his gaze upon the other, but did not move close. there were other tasks at hand.
