He froze in fright, tensing as he heard footfalls behind him and, timidly, he turned to look in the direction they came from. He relaxed as he realised it was only Carlotta — perhaps one of his favourite of the Ferrettis next to his own mother — and gave a half-smile at her as her pale form emerged out of the misty surroundings.

It was then he spotted the regal, plush figure that was surely Giana. She blended in just as easily as her daughter did with the morning haze. The woman intimidated Remmy, though he knew she had a softer side that occasionally made itself known. Slowly, checking behind him to make sure Carlotta was following, he padded towards Giana who was perched upon a fallen log. "Good morning, Giana," he said in his monotonous, though nonetheless respectful, tone. "And Carlotta," he quickly added to the girl behind him.
