Zephyr gave a little shrug, assuming a lot of packs might have been foolish enough to travel ahead of the locusts. Though it may have earned them a few more meals, in the end he was sure that a storm of those preportions would have wiped out all of the Teekon Wilds.
The scent on the stranger told him he was alone, even if he himself had not already voiced his worries of being the last wolf alive. Perhaps he would be looking for a home? Seadog was open for new recruits, especially with the famine and Sen about to pop. The sooner he found wolves to take the places of those lost with him, to provide stability in his absence, the sooner he and Rana could set off for his own pack creation. At his questioning, the Gamma couldn't help a grin.
"I'm a restless soul, usually out looking for a land to call my own. A meal would be nice to bring back to my alpha, since I'm sure she'll not be happy of my leaving again, but recruits are usually welcomed so long as they're of use."
