Goldhawk remained silent and Scimitar declined the offer for further assistance. At some point, Chosovi had melted into the background and slipped away, but Saena was heedless of that, if only because this was a meeting of leaders in the first place. "Safe travels," she bid Scimitar, who would always have the aid of Phoenix Maplewood should he need it, even if many leagues now separated them. As they turned to go, so too did Saena, aching to curl around her young brood once more.
