He wasn't sure of much more than that -- why had she crossed the borders in the first place, and what had caused her to plunge so far into claimed territory? Ame suggested that she simply had no sense, but the female began to speak, trying to build a case as to why they shouldn't kill her.

She promised to help provide for the pack, and Floki's muzzle wrinkled in disbelief. He had seen what a sorry state the wilds were in -- she would have no better luck hunting than the rest of them.
