Redhawk Caldera Seek and ye shall find

The gray wolf that came to greet her belied her thoughts that this pack was one of strength. He walked slowly, gingerly, and there was hunger in his bright yellow eyes. Still, she figured this must be a leader of some kind, and so she lowered her head further in respect, gaze fixed on his paws.

"I wish to join your pack," she responded without preamble.

If he demanded more of an answer than that, she would give it. For now, she kept quiet, waiting for the wolf's reply. Nashoba supposed she had been a little unfair in quickly judging him by his thin, almost ragged appearance. The famine that currently had this land in its grips had been a harsh one, and all wolves, even the strongest, had been affected.
