Harley told Dash how he had grown up in a place once occupied by humans. Some might have questioned, then, if Harley had lied about his interactions with humans, but Dash believed him. Really, it didn't matter to Dash either way. 

Where are your siblings and family now? Did they come with you? he asked. It was probably hard enough for Harley himself to find a wolf pack on his own, let alone with others like him. Maybe they had separated to increase their chances of finding homes.
