Phocion was quick to come, which either meant he was already cool about the situation, or he just respected rank. Maybe both? The white wolf came into view, head and tail lowered, and he gave a smile. Steady returned it, then promptly rolled his eyes. He didn't believe for one second that Phocion didn't know exactly why Steady had been acting the way that he had.
Still, that didn't excuse Steady. I wanted to apologize for my attitude towards you. No matter the reason, I shouldn't have been that way to you, he said, all joking aside for the moment.
