Niita smiled a bit in triumph. See, you can make small talk effectively. Zeke still had that emotionless tone and expression but at the very least he wasn't outright disliking her and/or being rude. It was a start at least, especially since she had expected Ezekiel to just outright keep walking. 

"I don't know quite what I expected when I arrived in Teekon, certainly not a famine, but eh. Stuff happens. I'm sure it's beautiful when it's in full bloom." Niita found herself rambling, glancing around as she tried to picture the mountain top with growing trees, grass, the whole works.
