Brandy had been silent about her wounds for a long while, licking them clean herself and assuming that'd been enough. Hunting attempts and her constant moving had kept the bears claws a sharp reminder and still brightly pink, not to mention raw. The yearling was still thin and bony, but had still somehow stayed uninfected and, well, alive. Thankfully, however, the growth had begun to come back something like two weeks or so, and seemingly flourishing. Prey was sort of better, but the wound on her flank had kept her from catching anything.
It didn't stop her, however, as now she headed across the swampy marshes to look for her favorite: ducks. Brandy had kept to herself the past week or so, still sharing a den at night with both her mate and when she showed up her mother. The days, though, had been to her, and though she ached to run and be reckless, her job had to come first; not yet had she completed it. So, this evening, she went again. The sun was dipping low and she hoped to catch something right in its nest, trapping it and anything else in it.
